Hope raced through our veins when we heard that Megan Ellison got the film rights to the Terminator franchise. She helped produce True Grit, which was fantastic, and we began thinking she could bring that to the Terminators.
But then Arnold effed it up a bit with his infidelity news, and now we're hearing the director Justin Lin won't be able to do it due to Fast 6 scheduling conflicts!
The thing is this, though: we weren't completely sold on Lin doing an incredible job with it (though he might have surprised us). Maybe this will leave room for someone who will bring an idea dripping with style to the project?
Another problem is that there's a time limit for Ellison to get it done, as the rights revert back to James Cameron in 2018. And he's not expected to want to continue the franchise. So it's now or never for what could be the last couple of Terminator movies!
How do U feel about Lin dropping out?? Who would U want to direct??
