Everyone knew the world was going to tune to watch Ashton Kutcher take over for Charlie Sheen on Two and A Half Men, but considering these numbers, Chuck Lorre should be sending his new star all kinds of muffin baskets!
2.5 Men premiered with an outrageous 18.7 rating and a 26 share. To compare, last season's premiere came in at 9.5/14. Now, a 9.5 is not something to scoff at. That's very strong. But at 18.7 … that's just UNBELIEVABLE!
So, in total, the show had about 27.7 million viewers. No show gets that kind of turn out - except maybe American Idol!
But can they really hold those numbers? Sure, there is hope for next week since the premiere is a two-parter, but beyond that …
Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Super impressive start though. Ya'll should be very proud.
Now, we wonder how Charlie's roast did!
