Very sad news.
Cliff Robertson, best known for his Academy Award winning role in the 1968 film Charly, and more recently, as Uncle Ben in the Spider-Man films, died yesterday at the age of 88.
Strangely enough, he was also a certified pilot on and was in the air, flying a private plane over New York City this very morning ten years ago in 2001.
He was a truly gifted actor, and will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts go out to his friends, family, and loved ones during this impossibly difficult time.
May he R.I.P.
