Excellent news!
Although it was anticipated that he would return, we can now officially confirm that J.J. Abrams will, in fact, be directing the sequel to his wildly successful Star Trek reboot - and is expected to start shooting the flick this coming winter!
According to sources close to the project, pre-production on the flick is well underway, and that the script is expected to be finished by the end of September!
All right! We can't wait!
Here's hoping that they're able to once again capture the magic that made the first one so effing good!
Our fingers are firmly crossed!
