Even though George kind of already took care of it for her.
This week, Elisabetta Canalis said farewell to Dancing With The Stars after she was voted off with only two weeks in. We're sure it was a hard blow to take, but Elisabetta is a strong girl, which she proved this week when she defended herself against some pretty egregious allegations.
Earlier this week, there was report that Elisabetta was sending ex BF George Clooney nasty and angry text messages over their breakup and his new girlfriend Stacy Keibler. George released a statement of his own, saying:
”[The report] was completely fabricated in order to sell magazines. I never comment on my personal life unless it affects others…and this lie affects others."
Elisabetta came to her own defense as well, but she also took a moment to thank George for being an upstanding guy:
“I think he was very nice, the fact that he stood up for me,. You cannot control what the press writes. It’s just untrue … We are OK, we are OK, really. That’s why he was so nice. I have to thank him… in life, things end, you move on.”
Very true. That's life and it seems like you both are mature enough to understand that.
Wow. A mature breakup in Hollywood. Who knew that could happen?!
