Will Oscar Host Eddie Murphy ALSO Host Saturday Night Live???

Do it, Eddie! It'll be like pre-gaming for the Oscars! LOLz!

Eddie Murphy has NEVER hosted Saturday Night Live since he left the show on less-than-fantastic terms with creator Lorne Michaels in 1984.

Apparently, the drama heated up when David Spade made fun of Eddie during a "news" segment, in which he showed a pic of the actor at the time of his 1989 movie Harlem Nights, and said "look children, a falling star…quick, make a wish!"

Eddie reportedly demanded an apology, but Lorne Michaels sided with his writing team and said he had to give them creative freedom.

It's all in the past now, and it looks like Eddie WILL be ready to host the show…eventually.

Here's what his rep had to say about it:

"There are no plans for Eddie to appear on SNL at this time, but perhaps in the future he will make a return."

More from another source:

"Eddie rarely does appearances, and nothing is scheduled. He hasn’t been on SNL for over 25 years, it would be astonishing if he did it."

And here's more from another source who says there ISN'T drama between Eddie and Lorne:

"There was never any hatchet to be buried. Eddie has never had any issues with Lorne."

Drama or no drama, this would be a pret-ty good time for Mr. Murphy to host the show. Between the Oscars and Tower Heist, Eddie's got a lot going on right now. SNL would be a great venue for him to get the word out some more!

Ryan Murphy Is Writing A Musical For Gwyneth Paltrow!

Um, do you really have time for this? Either of you? We feel like your plates are already so full.

While Ryan Murphy was at the Emmys this weekend, he talked a lot about Glee and his new show, American Horror Story… But then, he teased about another project he's working on, one that we think Glee fans will enjoy just on principle.

When asked if he had plans to work with Gwyneth Paltrow again, Ryan replied:

“We want to do a musical together. An original—I want to write an original movie for Gwyneth and Maya Rudolph, both of whom I’m great friends with. That’s all I will say.”

That's all you have to say.

Gwyn has proven time and again that she has a voice and we've see Maya on more than one occasion bring the house down with her vocals. So we think they would work perfectly together.

Still, why do we sense this will just be a jumping off platform for a lot of the Glee kids to make their first movie? Anyone else getting that vibe?
