Find Out Whether Your iPhone 3GS Motherboard is Repairable Before You Replace the Entire Device

Released in June of 2009, the Apple iPhone 3GS promises speed, power and versatility. 3GS manufacturers boast of quick application launches, improved performance and updated 3D graphics. The next step up from the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 3GS is up to two times faster and more responsive than its predecessor.

So what are the features that the people at Apple claim make the iPhone 3GS so great? There are many. The device allows users to shoot, edit and share high-quality videos. Its 3-megapixel camera, voice control, compass and landscape keyboard are also quite remarkable. Customers will be excited to use the cut, copy and paste features on the phone as well as its messaging and search capabilities.

The possibilities are seemingly endless when it comes to the iPhone 3GS motherboard and all that it has to offer. With the same general features as the original iPhone - telephone, iPod, internet, e-mail, maps, Safari and more - it has taken the market by storm.

Such a state-of-the art, convenient and, let's be honest, pricey telecommunications device is worth taking care of for a while. It is a long-term investment that purchasers won't want to see break down or become outdated too fast.

That said, iPhones, just like any other electronic device, are not perfect. And though manufacturers do their best to ensure long-lasting customer satisfaction, they are not always successful.

If you've purchased an iPhone 3GS and are worried about its functionality, you may be tempted to simply throw it away and have it replaced. If the device is beyond repair, this is your best - and only - option. You may be surprised to find out, however, how simple and inexpensive it can be to repair the phone and extend the duration of your investment.

When you find that your iPhone 3GS motherboard is not working properly, take it into an electronics expert to get it looked at. Unless you are a technology expert, leave the assessment to a professional. Not only will he or she be able to give you a price quote as to what it will cost to repair the iPhone 3GS motherboard or other parts, but that person will also be able to advise you as to how to proceed.

Once you've been given a bit of general direction, speak with others who know about such issues and listen to other opinions. You never know how differently professionals may feel when it comes to whether to repair or replace an item.

If you have decided to repair the phone by replacing a part such as the iPhone 3GS motherboard, do a little bit of shopping around to find the best deal in terms of parts. Used and new motherboards will be available, and it is worth it to find out if there is a significant difference.

Of course, there is no problem with simply replacing such a device. Nevertheless, finding out whether repairs and replacement parts are a good option is a worthwhile investigation, especially with such a long-term investment as an iPhone 3GS.

From logic boards to LCD screens to back covers, http://www.iPhonepartspro.com has everything you need to get your phone back in great shape. With a full line of iPhone repair parts.

What You Should Know Before You Consider Upgrading Your Motherboard

If you're interested in upgrading your current computer system, then it's important that you know that your choice in hardware will be limited by the motherboard that you decide to invest in. if you have an older motherboard, then you'll know how difficult it is to find components that are compatible with your old system. This is one of the main reasons why many people decide to upgrade their motherboards.

The motherboard is a printed circuit board (PCB) where all the components of your system are connected to. Upgrading your systems motherboard will affect all of the main components on your computer system. For this reasons, it's important that you tread with care when deciding on what motherboard to buy. Buying a poor quality motherboard may result in you having hardware problems in the future or unsatisfactory system performance even when you stick the best components inside it.

Before you part with any of your cash, it's important that you make sure that your current components are compatible with the new motherboard that you intend to buy. You should also make sure that your new motherboard supports all the features that you are looking for. Many motherboards come with onboard sound and integrated graphics cards, but not all motherboards have their own eSATA or FireWire ports. If you intend on hooking your system up to a network, then it's important that you select a motherboard with an Ethernet port.

The motherboard that you choose should also have at least four USB 2.0 ports on it. If you purchase a motherboard with a limited number of USB ports, then you might find, sometime down the future, that you're unable to run several of your computer peripherals at the same time. Many common USB devices include your mouse, printer and keyboard.

7 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Starting A Social Media Campaign

Starting a social media campaign for your business is like entering into a relationship. For it to succeed over the long term you must be committed to it and have realistic expectations as to what you'll get out of it.

Current statistics show that that 73% of Twitter registrants have posted fewer than 10 messages and one third have posted none at all.

The majority of Facebook fan pages give visitors no incentive to "like" the page. As well, they rarely develop ongoing communication campaigns catered to their fans.

These trends are a clear indication that both people and businesses are participating in social media with either no plan, no goals, or no idea why.

So before you make your first tweet, create a Facebook fan page, or start searching for Linked In connections, ask yourself these questions. The answers may help you better focus your time, resources, and better understand how to include social media into your company's marketing program.

Why do I want to participate in social media?

With social media "experts" declaring that any business not tweeting or without a Facebook fan page is losing business to competitors, many entrepreneurs feel compelled to participate out of fear. This just leads to frustration when time and money is spent on setting up accounts and custom pages, only to not see any measurable results. The fact is that social media is like any other marketing tool and may not be right for every business. Even so, it must still be used effectively, perhaps as part of a bigger campaign, for any benefits to be seen.

Do I have the time and resources?

Unlike conventional marketing such as ads in a newspaper, direct mail, or even a web site, social media requires continuous attention. Depending on your business, this could range from a few minutes a day to over an hour. Do you have the time, desire and patience to make regular and relevant tweets or update your Facebook page? And while you could have a staff member or virtual assistant do this for you, that means allocating resources and money that you may or may not be able to afford, or could better be used elsewhere.

Can I continuously come up with great content?

Unlike a blog where you can post content on your own schedule, making social media work means posting interesting and relevant content on an ongoing basis. Depending on which guru you listen to, this can mean a few tweets a day to more than 10 per hour. Can you keep up this pace? And do you really have enough to say? Even sharing a mix of personal anecdotes, relevant links, retweets, and business information can only go so far before you start getting mentally exhausted - and frustrated.

What are my goals?

Unless you're involved in social media for purely social purposes, it's likely that you are hoping to get some form of financial return out of it. The goals of attracting more clients and more sales is what drives most businesses to social media in the first place. So let's be realistic - from a business perspective, followers, friends, fans and connections are really nothing more than lists. And if the names on those lists are not the kinds of clients you would like to attract, then you may be preaching to the wrong crowd. The best thing to do is decide what your goals are from the start. For many businesses, clients can come from any geographic area or be any demographic, so social media may be ideal. Think about if you're trying to create awareness for your company, product, or just you

What are my alternatives?

Social media is just one of hundreds of ways to reach people. Depending on your goals you may find some old fashioned methods produce better results with less resources. Trade shows, direct mail, email, seminars, networking events, newspaper ads, or publicity stunts can still garner the kinds of result you may be looking for. Many companies have successfully used social media to build word-of-mouth "momentum" that originally started from a conventional marketing campaign. Remember the old spice guy? That campaign started as just a television commercial and went on to become the most successful social media campaign ever.

Do people really care?

The open forum concept of Twitter, Facebook and Linked In groups allows for huge numbers of people to talk about common interests. But let's be honest here. Is your business worthy of discussion? A client of mine who is a self employed dental hygienist was disappointed when her tweets and Facebook postings garnered little response. While they were quality posts, it seemed teeth cleaning was just not a big draw for online discussion. It can be tough to hear, but sometimes the world does not share your passion about your product or service.

How do I measure success?

While many web designers and consultants will point to Google Analytics when asked about return on investment, the fact is that ROI can only be measured in dollars and cents. Your time and resources are worth something, so you must put a value to them and factor that in when developing your social media campaign. If you make $80.00 an hour doing what your core service is, then investing 10 hours in social media will cost you $800.00. If you don't make that money back in a reasonable period of time, then you will have a negative return. Factor in other costs such as a graphic designer or marketing consultant, and your costs will be even higher. Success should be defined by a set of criteria before you begin your campaign - social media or otherwise.

Think of social media as just one tool in your marketing toolbox. And the most effective marketing campaigns come from knowing what tools to use and when to use them, either alone or in combination.

10 Checklist Points Before Engaging In Social Media Marketing

Where to start?

Social media marketing has a phony reputation. For many an executive from the commercial department, this exercise sums up to a string of signups over several social networks randomly and from time to time, multimedia, article postings and advertising over Facebook and Twitter. This is definitely not the right shot!

SMM is more than just being present in the Social Media Sphere. It is a sharp commercial engagement that may just turn into total havoc if not handled properly. The goal of Social Marketing in cyberspace is the same as the real-world thing. It's about delivering Unique Selling Points that will end up into concrete and sustained sales. It is about converting an anon into a brand advocate at best. Achieving this objective follows basically almost the same rules except for the fact that Social Media allows a closer, more personal and customizable, so to say Social approach of the targets. Same rules apply but with more or less variations. Assessing the prerogatives, context, environment and toolsets is the essential starting point of any Social Media Marketing campaign. It implies thorough setup and clinical precision in the way messages and attitudes are to be delivered through dedicated channels. Within such campaigns, posting on Facebook, on a fan page, group page or personal page is never the same process.

Here are 10 checklist points before engaging into Social Media Marketing:

Define your base strategy. Setup a budgeted roadmap with intermediate white stones that will help at fine tuning the campaign all along the way.The roadmap should stay in tune with what is being done or what has been done in the real-world. Social Media Marketing is never an innocent act. It is time-consuming and will incur expenses. Being precise about the campaign will definitely decrease the burden. As said earlier assess the main objective and methodology. For example, you may need to totally revamp your actual website so as to allow SM integration and SMO. Make your campaign stay SMARRT - Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Relevant and Time-bound. Either go for Awareness or Sales or Loyalty. One at a time! Don't try to aim for all objectives in one go. Remember! Stick to your company's marketing and communication policy.

Assess and understand your campaign's environment. RESEARCH and don't stop til' you get enough! One surely doesn't want to jump into dark waters without basic precautions and headlamps. So do you with your Social Media Marketing Campaign. Diving recklessly into Social Media can spell TOTAL MESS especially when dealing with building awareness and product reputation. Building an effective Online Social Strategy implies thorough knowledge of the competitors' doing's on common platforms (of course)... but above all, take an humble preview of how others from different sectors have done or are doing. Get into both successful and failed case studies. Learn more about technical potentials of each and every Social Network and platform.

Identify these platforms and toolsets that are relevant and positively responsive for your roadmap. Social Media Marketing is about delivering the same consistent message through the whole spectrum of interwoven Social Networks. The intertwined winning triumvirate is made of the Blog, Facebook and Twitter, to which you would add a YouTube account if you would have video clips uploaded on a regular basis. Choose strategically. For example, you might feel the need of Slideshare and LinkedIn accounts instead of a Foursquare one, if your product or service is more into pitch-intensive B2B. Your toolset should also be made up of listening and monitoring wares.

Realistically budget and size your Online Advertising. Use the full potential of Google AdSense and Facebook's advertising platforms, but make sure to target wisely. Goal-tied Marketing Campaigns mean nothing without proper advertising. Intuitive Online advertising is now accessible through a few clicks and will definitely unleash its power to communicate about your brand on a global basis. They can also enhance diffusion to limited zones. Think about identifying and assessing your targets on geographical grounds. This will help at optimizing your online advertisement budget. Choosing PPC or CPC is up to you accordingly to your basic roadmap requirements.

Setup a Social Media taskforce from within your staff and look for an outsider to operate as a Community Manager. The web never sleeps. Social Media Marketing is a 24/7 perpetual roll-on. As such it is time and resource-consuming. One should never expect to be capable of handling a Social Media Marketing campaign alone, especially if other primary company duties are at stake. Instead, invite some of your staff to engage into social networking on your business's behalf. Be choosy though! Those indulged in such a sensitive and interactive task must write well, be tactful, creative and loyal. Outsider Community Managers are seldom biased and are limited to the sole responsibility of consolidating your taskforce's activities over relevant Social Networks. In any case you should build a team whose main goals and capabilities are to listen, learn and reply in tactful manner.

Prefer influential relationships. Get your team to identify major Bloggers and mainstream Social Media activists who fringe with your zones of interest and industry. This task is one of the hinges of success for your campaign. Getting to talk to Social Media heavyweights is like hiring evangelists when relationships get entrusted. Getting Lady Gaga to like your pair of boots is like tapping straight into a sea of opportunities as wide as 9 million individuals who would just follow Gaga's recommendations. Getting her to buy one would mean immediate success. CAREFUL however! The adverse effect is also proportionally as big as your contact's notoriety. Be sure of what you sell to him or her. A successful Social Media Marketing campaign starts here.

Identify relevant measuring and benchmarking tools. They are proof of your campaign's success or need for fine tuning. For example, the increase in the number of likes on Facebook or followers on Twitter is an indicator of your campaign's health. Getting to know how many times your brand is mentioned across the web and rating these comments help at fine tuning the campaign. You should also be able to keep track of your on-growing relationships and traffic that comes from Social Platforms. Identifying prospects for future opportunities helps at developing better strategies. Beware! At the actual state of affairs, Social Media Metrics can be tricky! In fact you will need a very wide array of results coupled to trending reports to be able to depict the exact snapshot of your on-going campaign.

Identify offline components that will be needed to complement your Online Social Marketing. Offline events are powerful conversion tools when geared the proper and relevant way. Offline components may also mean socializing with people off the web, in the real world, offering real-world prizes and gifts, organizing rallies, bar camps, conferences and seminars... etc Determine how these components can enhance your target's brand experience and how they will relevantly fit into your Online Marketing Scheme.

Urge for quality relevant content when posting articles, multimedia and comments. Praising your 270hp 1974 red Corvette when you advocate for ecological products on your blog isn't the best of strategies. Be sure to lay editorial rules that will define consistent cross-platform content production both in terms of easy-reading literature and technical specifics. Should an uploaded video be in HD both on YouTube and on Facebook? How long should be an article? Should an article contain a generic common byline for multiple authors or should it bear the actual author's name and on what grounds? One should always define these lines accordingly to the targeted audience.

Urge to stay HUMAN at every stage! Putting up a Social Media Marketing strategy is about building your brand's Social Media presence where your quality accessible content will be delivering values of your organization. Social Media is about... Socializing first! People are touchy when it comes to attitudes and postures. They don't like to bullied or taken as immature consumers. Being too techy, too commercial, demotes the social experience. Simple language and "real-worldlike" politeness are the bases for the best of approaches. It is sometimes more fruitful to start a discussion that may seem miles away from your product and its campaign objectives. With the will to listen and the power to communicate clearly, high conversion rates are never far ahead.

Conclusion

Whoever engages into Social Media Marketing is bound to find himself pulling on very many strings at the same time. Assessing, understanding the campaign's environment through research and pre-dive learning is a must. Although the marketing process might seem similar to the real-world thing, the Online Social Experience entails mastering every stage with even more precision, because you can never see or analyze real-time behaviors, except for what the prospect writes from behind his monitor, should it be true or false. A Social Media Marketing Strategy is simply the result of the conjunction of human competences and webtools that allow social interaction, interchange and sharing to the profit of a brand. It is a two-way traffic by which the seller has an on-spot obligation of being a psychologist, sociologist or an ethnologist. Be reassured you do not need to be these actually because you're a human being who is supposedly used to human social codes in general.

How To Prepare Soil and Hydroponic Media Before Potting

Preparation Of Plant Media

To gain the best from your plants you as a grower are required to prepare your soil and media for the seedling, cutting or seed to start their life in the best possible surroundings. Media and soil manufacturers will of course prepare the basis of the media on offer, by this, buffer's and minerals that release into the soil or media when contacted with liquid nutrients or the plants root zone would of been added. Soil's and media's not only offer the root zone feeds they also offer protection from the elements and if using hydroponics equipment, namely grow lights then the media or soil will aid in restricting the light or lumens hitting the root zone.

Root Nutrients and Boosters

Preparation starts with root nutrients and root boosters as these are what any plant is first required to focus on, mass root production. Without root production nutrients can not be up-taken by the plant. Soils and other media's benefit highly from dosing the root nutrients at near maximum strength. This will ensure the roots can find root enhancing nutes immediately upon releasing from the stem.

Preparation Amounts and Timing

The amount of liquid nutrients required to prepare the soil or media will depend on which type of soil or media is to be used, this also applies to how long the process will take.

Soil's - As soils soak up liquids immediately preparing soils are by far the fastest to prepare, however, it takes two to three days for soil to absorb the nutrients ready for releasing as the roots take it up or as the moisture in the soil evaporates. With this said it is good practice to heavily feed the soil with a large quantity, not strength. After two or three days repeat this process. Two days later the soil will be moist rather than wet, this is optimum potting soil.
Media - Quite often a substitute to soil is clay pebbles, pre-formed from volcanic matter. To prepare clay media the grower would be required to top up the grow system reservoir with water, add root nutes and boosters, pH to 5.5 and turn on the system's feed pump, this will have to stay turned on until the media has fully prepped. The only way to be sure you have prepared your media is to check the EC and pH on the returning feed. The media will make the EC and pH raise requiring the grower to change the media preparation feed or add a top up tank to lower the EC to its lowest and the pH back to 5.5. Quite simply put, when the reservoir liquids read the same as when you put the feed in then the media is ready for potting into.

Note: The washing of media's is as important as adding feeds. If you do not wash the media correctly to start with it will take longer for the EC and pH to stabilise. Take caution when washing out media, removing all loose matter will be highly beneficial.

Buffering Soils and Media

Preparation of media's and more so soils also require growers to add buffer's. Using buffer's soften the nutes and minerals and allow the plant to absorb these more simply. Media's quite often buffer by adding pH and root enhancers into water as above, soil's however quite often do not and require specialist buffering treatments such as COGr. The manufacturers will have added small amounts at source however soils eat away at the bufferer requiring topping up before adding preparation feeds and more so before adding plants.

Media Preference

Whether using soil or media Canna Rhizotonic is the choice of many with recorded achievements Worldwide due to its outstanding performance in all soil's and media's. Rhizo as it is often called ensures your soil's and media's are fully optimized for the coming of the new roots with nutrients ready to feed the roots with necessary minerals which duplicate the plants natural root releasing process forcing the plant to release more roots.

Hydroponics is a science that whilst simple to learn, will enthral you for years to come. The possibilities are endless using hydroponics equipment, anything that grow's in the wild can be grown using hydroponics cultivation methods, benefiting from speeding up the growth cycle of any plant species, offering the grower complete control over feeds, cycles, lighting and climate.
