She is the Queen of England, after all.
Prince William recently revealed in the new book Our Queen how his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II helped he and Kate Middleton plan their royal wedding earlier this year.
Will explained that while she was fairly flexible with some of her ideas, she wouldn't budge on one thing: Wearing his new scarlet Irish Guards uniform on his wedding day.
"So you don't always get what you want," he says, "put it that way."
He also explained that she gave him a list of 777 names of dignitaries that he was expected to add to the invitee list.
William says:
"And not one person I knew.
I rang her up and said 'Do we need to be doing this?' And she said, 'No. Start with your friends first and then go from there.' And she told me to bin the list."
As for whether the newly-appointed Duke of Cambridge ever thinks about the day he'll become King of England, William said:
"As I'm flying along in my helicopter through the mountains of Wales, I try desperately hard not to think about it. That can wait until I'm a bit older."
He and his family are just trying to help the Queen with her duties for now:
"We do hint at taking some things off her, but she won't have anything of it. She'll want to hand over knowing she's done everything she possibly could to help, and that she's got no regrets and no unfinished business."
And that's why she's still in charge! LOLz! It's sweet that William listened to his grandmother on his wedding day. Even with all the money and power in this family, you still can't take away how close they are.
